Working with user forms (V6.2+) |
Standard user forms offer important capabilities and power to application users. You can customize the standard forms to meet design or usage requirements for your application. The forms introduced in V6.2 are optimized for use in case management applications.
This topic presents general information about using user for applications created with the Application Accelerator in V6.2+. The Application Accelerator copies the standard harnesses Work-.New, Work-.Perform, Work-.Confirm, and Work-.Review into your application work types and RuleSets.
Details may differ based on the portal rules, harnesses, and other features of your applications.
The appearance and capabilities of user forms created by the V5.-V6.1 Application Accelerator are different. See Working with user forms (V5). However if you prefer, you can use V5-style user forms in V6.2+ applications. See PDN article 26388 How to retain pre-V6 harnesses in applications upgraded to V6.2.
Parts of Perform and Review forms
This section describes the parts of the Perform and Review user forms.
Perform
This form enables users to update or complete an assignment, or start a new local flow action, connector action, create a new subcase, or start a supporting process.
The harness contains a header and four major areas:
Review Harness
The Case Contents list (.pyAssignmentListGadget) enables users to view the assignments and subcases related to the case. Information includes who the case or assignment is assigned to, the deadline, and the work status.
The user can click a subcase ( ) to open its Review harness, or an assignment ( ) to open its Perform harness.
The list's header section (Work-.pyAssignmentListHeader) contains an Actions menu that enables users to start local or connector flow actions, or add a subcase or start a supporting process (same as the Other Actions menu on the Perform harness).
