Type | Specify File or URL . Only attachment category rules with the appropriate type setting appear in the Category list. For example, if you select File , only attachment rules with an available type of File selected appear in the list. |
Description | Enter a text description for this category, which appears on the audit trail window. The Category value is used by default. |
Required? | Select so that an attachment is required before the user is allowed to submit the case. The system adds a validation error to a case if an attachment of this category is not present in the case's list of attachments.
Note the following:

Reference | Specify a file or URL that is required or will be automatically attached. Use this field according to the Type selected. You must enter a value if the Required? checkbox is empty.

File Name | When you select a file in the Reference field, the file name appears in read-only mode. This field is blank if the Type is URL . |
Auto-Attach? | Available and selected by default after you enter a URL reference or select a file. Select to allow the process engine to automatically add an attachment when a new case of this type is created and the conditions of the category are met.
You cannot use this setting with Required?. |
