Create a case type rule by selecting Case Type from the Process category.

A case type rule has two key parts:

Applies To

SmartPrompt Select the name of a Work- class.

The classes you can enter here may depend on the RuleSet you select. On the Advanced tab of the Class form, a class rule may limit rules applying to that class to belong to one of an explicit list of RuleSets.

If the Applies To class is derived from Work-Cover-, the rule enables you to specify work types, including covers, that can be used as covered objects. You can also use the aggregation feature to sum numerical properties shared by the cover and covered objects.

Purpose

pyDefault. Cannot be edited. There can be only one instance in the Applies To class. You can create circumstanced versions using the Case Designer.

In Federated Case Management configurations, you must use the Case Designer on the control system to create abstract remote case types and case type rules. You cannot create these rules using the Application Explorer or copying an existing rule. Be careful not to delete the rules.
