About Output Templates
 

Purpose

Create Output Template rules to define the content to write to an external source as part of making an Offer. The system provides support for writing to both a file and a database table.

Where Referenced

Offers can reference both file and database Output Template rules via the Send Email, Send SMS, Send Generic, and Send Multiple Treatments shapes on the Offer Diagram tab.

Access

• File - Use the Outbound tab on the File landing page to view the file Output Template rules configured in your system.
• Database - Use the Outbound tab on the Database landing page to view the database Output Template rules configured in your system.

Category

Output Templates are instances of the Rule-Obj-Template class. They belong to the Marketing category.
