Groundbreakers Take New York: Community Connects Above the City Skyline

Nicolas Millan, 4 minute read
The Pega Groundbreakers NYC Meetup brought practitioners, partners, and Pega leaders together for an evening of genuine connection. No agenda, no slides, just great conversations with the Empire State Building as the backdrop.

On the evening of Wednesday, April 15, Pega Groundbreakers descended on the 230 Fifth Rooftop Bar in the heart of New York City for the latest stop on the global Groundbreakers Meetup tour. With the Empire State Building lit up against the twilight sky, the setting alone was enough to remind everyone why in-person moments matter.

The event ran from 4 to 6 PM and drew a diverse crowd of Pega practitioners, technology leaders, partners, clients, and Pega employees from across the tri-state area. True to the spirit of the Groundbreakers Meetups, it was just the kind of open and energizing event that occurs when curious, passionate people share the same space.

"The heart of the evening is you — the Groundbreakers community," the event invitation had promised, and that commitment showed. Pega team members were on hand to answer questions and spark introductions, but the real energy came from the attendees themselves: exchanging ideas about Pega implementations, swapping stories, and forging connections that will long outlast the rooftop happy hour.

The hosts arrived early, Groundbreakers jackets on, to set up the check-in station and make sure everything was in order before the first guests stepped out of the elevator. The #PegaGroundBreakers selfie cutout became an instant hit, capturing the spirit of the evening and no doubt filling a few LinkedIn feeds in the days that followed.
