Pega University Program adds first community college consortium

Max Rollinger, 3 minute read

Since its establishment in 2017, the Pega University Program has been fortunate enough to help thousands of students worldwide earn their initial Pega certifications and build meaningful careers using cutting-edge technologies.

We also firmly believe that community colleges and the hands-on, experiential learning opportunities they offer to students of all ages are the future of higher education in the United States. That’s why we’re thrilled to be partnering with Maricopa Information Technology Institute (MITI) in Arizona’s Valley of the Sun region as our first-ever consortium of community colleges to join the Pega University Program.

Not only is MITI part of the Maricopa Community Colleges system, one of the largest in Arizona, it offers students a unique opportunity to focus their education on emerging technologies ranging from application development to IoT.

As one of Udemy’s Hottest Tech Skills of 2020, earning a Pega certification can make a massive impact on the career trajectories of both entry-level employees and mid-career professionals who are looking to upskill or transition to a career at the intersection of business and IT.

There’s also no better place to launch our first community college program than the Valley of the Sun! The Greater Phoenix area is one of the fastest growing technology hubs in the U.S. with available jobs and average salaries that are exceeding most of their counterparts around the country.

From Cognizant to Wells Fargo, Pega has a significant number of partners and clients in the region who are actively hiring both newcomers to Pega and established Pega professionals. You can check out our job board on My Pega for a more complete picture of the job opportunities currently available in our ecosystem.

For additional details on our newest University Program partner, be sure to visit MITI’s Pega landing page with updated information on the latest Pega certifications and opportunities available on MITI’s campus locations throughout the Phoenix area.
