Global Expansion and Compliance

Pega Cloud now supports an impressive 41 regions globally across both AWS and GCP deployments. The expansion continues in 2026 with four additional regions including Thailand, Indonesia, Mexico, and potentially New Zealand. However, the most significant development is the upcoming EU Sovereign Cloud, launching in H2 of 2026 in partnership with Amazon. This dedicated compliance boundary will feature isolated infrastructure, dedicated support teams from the region, and comprehensive adherence to European data sovereignty requirements. Similar initiatives are planned for Canada Protected B and additional GovCloud regions.

Enhanced Disaster Recovery Capabilities

Building on the enhanced disaster recovery (EDR) features launched in 2025, Pega continues to differentiate its cloud offering with exclusive capabilities unavailable elsewhere in the market. The EDR service, which provides region-to-region failover with an impressive 15-minute RPO and 150-minute RTO for production environments, will expand in 2026 to support Customer Decision Hub products and Pega Cloud GCP deployments. Additional regional pairings, including US East 1 to US West 2, will provide customers with more flexible disaster recovery options.

Self-Service Revolution

The push toward comprehensive self-service capabilities represents a major strategic focus for Pega Cloud in 2026. Customers can now manage inbound access controls directly through MyPegaCloud, with plans to extend this to platform studios, outbound access, and network configuration. This initiative dramatically reduces the need for support tickets and empowers customers with immediate control over their environments. The self-service philosophy extends to certificate management, environment settings, and various administrative functions that previously required manual intervention.

Storage and Data Management Innovations

Pega is addressing a long-standing challenge with new storage downscaling capabilities launching by end of 2026. This feature will allow automatic reduction of unused database storage without downtime, particularly beneficial after data migrations where attachments are moved from databases to cloud file storage. Enhanced storage visibility across all storage types, including cloud file storage and decision data storage, provides customers with better cost management insights. For SFTP users, environment-specific endpoints and the expansion of API-based data transfer services to AWS bring greater security and flexibility.

Observability and AI Integration

The webinar revealed ambitious plans for Pega's observability platform, with significant AI integration on the horizon. A complete restructuring of the observability teams has enabled sophisticated correlation of application metrics, infrastructure logs, Kubernetes events, and system traces across terabytes of daily data. AI agents specialized in database, infrastructure, storage, and networking domains work collaboratively to provide rapid problem discovery and diagnosis. Plans for a cloud log explorer and expanded Dynatrace streaming support demonstrate Pega's commitment to world-class monitoring capabilities.

Deployment Manager Enhancements

Deployment Manager continues to evolve with exciting new capabilities. The highly anticipated data movement and masking feature, launching in 2026 as an exclusive add-on, will enable customers to safely move case data from production to lower environments for testing while protecting sensitive PII information. Integration with Pega Blueprint will streamline the development process by auto-creating deployment pipelines as new applications are built. Additional guardrails and quality gates will ensure only the highest-quality, most secure applications reach production.

Infinity Update Process

The self-service Infinity update process has achieved remarkable adoption, with 60% of cloud clients now using this streamlined approach for version upgrades. The new "Assess Update" feature automatically detects installed applications, queries relevant release notes, and presents only applicable information to customers. The process includes complimentary clone environments for verification, blue-green deployment options for production, and multiple validation checkpoints before any route-to-live impact occurs.

Government Cloud Advances

Pega Cloud for Government achieved FedRAMP High certification for Pega Cloud 3 in 2025, a significant milestone in the GovCloud space. The 2026 roadmap includes certification for Infinity 25.1, Customer Decision Hub and Blueprint support, and BCAP connectivity for Department of Defense deployments.

Key Takeaways

The Q4 2025 release and 2026 roadmap demonstrate Pega's unwavering commitment to cloud excellence, security, and customer empowerment. From EU Sovereign Cloud and enhanced disaster recovery to AI-powered observability and comprehensive self-service capabilities, Pega Cloud continues to set the standard for enterprise cloud platforms. The consistent focus on reducing operational overhead while increasing security and compliance options positions customers for success in an increasingly complex digital landscape.
