What's New in Pega as-a-Service: Q1 2026 Release & Roadmap

Ivan Anikanov and Satya Mishra, 6 minute read

On April 30, 2026, the Pega as-a-Service Expert Circle hosted its latest webinar, "Pega as-a-Service: Q1 2026 Release & Roadmap" — a forward-looking session designed for clients, partners, and consulting teams eager to stay ahead of the curve on Pega's cloud evolution. The session was presented by Ivan Anikanov, Technical Solutions Director, EMEA Consulting, and Satya Mishra, Senior Director of Product Management, and brought together practitioners from across EMEA, the US, and India. You can watch the full recording here: Pega as-a-Service: Q1 2026 Release & Roadmap.

Expanding Pega's Global Cloud Footprint

Pega Cloud now spans 42 regions worldwide across AWS and GCP, and the expansion continues at pace. Thailand went live in H1 2026, and a new GCP region in Jakarta, Indonesia is planned to follow shortly. Looking further into the year, New Zealand and Mexico regions are on the horizon for H2 2026. For European clients with strict data residency requirements, a dedicated EU Service Boundary is planned for H2 2026, ensuring that data is stored, processed, and managed entirely within the EU by EU-based personnel — a significant investment reflecting Pega's commitment to data sovereignty.

It's worth noting that support for the Dubai region has been put on hold due to the current global political situation. Looking further ahead, Canada Protected B certification and AWS GovCloud US East support are planned for 2027. Pega Cloud already holds 24 certifications, including ISO, PCI DSS, SOC 1 & 2, FedRAMP, IRAP, and HIPAA — reinforcing its standing as a trusted platform for regulated industries worldwide.

Enhanced Disaster Recovery: Faster, More Resilient

The session highlighted meaningful advances in Enhanced Disaster Recovery (EDR), which provides automatic failover from a primary to a backup region — complementing the standard in-region High Availability architecture that already uses three Availability Zones. The target Recovery Time Objective (RTO) is 150 minutes and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) is 15 minutes — benchmarks that matter enormously for business-critical environments. EDR currently supports Pega Platform, Case Management, Customer Service, and Sales Automation, with the roadmap extending coverage to Pega Customer Decision Hub (CDH) and Pega Cloud on GCP in early H2 2026.

Smarter Security and Connectivity

Network security continues to evolve with Secure Connect enhancements. Clients can now configure self-service inbound IP allowlist rules directly via My Pega Cloud, and Pega is implementing path-based routing to apply IP restrictions specifically to Admin and Dev Studios. Plans are also in place to bring outbound self-service to the latter half of 2026. On the integration security front, Mutual TLS (MTLS) is already supported for outbound traffic, with inbound MTLS support currently in development — giving teams ever-greater control over their security posture.

For added transparency, My Pega Cloud now also displays the number of active Availability Zones in a region, helping teams assess the resilience of their environment at a glance.

AI-Powered Operations and Log Intelligence

Perhaps the most forward-looking part of the session was the preview of AI-driven operational tools. The SQL AI Assistant in Pega Diagnostic Cloud (PDC) is already live, helping teams analyse slow queries and receive actionable optimisation recommendations. Coming soon, an AI-powered Infinity Update Assessment Report will analyse release notes against a client's specific installed applications to flag deprecated or withdrawn features — a real time-saver for upgrade planning. A Readiness Checker is also on its way later this year, providing a centralised service to scan for rule overrides that might interfere with updates.

Further out on the roadmap, Pega envisions truly agentic operational experiences: describe an issue in plain language, and the AI will analyse telemetry, identify the root cause, and suggest a targeted resolution — such as restarting a specific queue processor.

On the logging side, Dynatrace log streaming is expected in late Q2 2026, complementing existing Splunk support. A research initiative into an AI-powered Log Explorer — enabling real-time log querying without manual file downloads — is also underway.

Maintenance, Deployment, and Storage

Q1 2026 also brought meaningful updates to day-to-day operations. Deployment Manager now supports moving case data between environments with or without masking, and introduces out-of-the-box AI-based UI testing for Constellation apps. A welcome infrastructure improvement is the new support for Storage Downscaling — allowing teams to reduce provisioned database storage after major archiving or migration events, planned for H2 2026.

Pega Cloud for Government

For public sector clients, Pega Cloud for Government (PCFG) continues to advance: Infinity 25.1 is now certified for PCFG. The future roadmap includes support for the Blueprint app and BCAP (Boundary Cloud Access Point) connectivity — further strengthening Pega's offering for government agencies.
