Overview

The HCLTech Pega Constellation DX Component Manager is a Visual Studio Code extension that brings the full custom DX component lifecycle into one guided sidebar: initializing projects, configuring environments, creating and switching libraries, scaffolding components, and publishing to Pega Infinity, all without leaving the editor. It wraps Pega's own DXCB CLI rather than replacing it, driving the real create, build, preview, and publish commands inside an integrated terminal. Its core differentiator is AI assisted building: developers describe desired component behavior in plain English, and an integrated Claude Code powered assistant proposes real code changes, reviewed as diffs before anything is applied. Teams get faster component delivery, fewer manual CLI errors, consistent environment handling across projects, and a shorter ramp up for developers new to Pega Constellation.
