pyLabel (Work class) not allowing more than 64 characters

Summary



Unable to increase the maximum length of pyLabel to128.


Error Messages



(class name).pyLabel: "Portfolio-...." is too long, maximum length allowed is 64


Steps to Reproduce

  1. Set the pyLabel on the work page as more than 64 characters.
  2. Create a case.


Root Cause



An issue in the custom application code or rules.
User was increasing the maximum length of pyLabel to 128 when the default length was 64.



Resolution



Perform the following local-change: 
  1. Save pyLabel to the most specific class.
  2. Specify the new length restrictions.
  3. Re-save or revalidate, and save all the rules which referenced this property.
