SA-44712

Summary

While creating a shortcut rule, Category dropdown values are empty.

Error Messages

com.pega.pegarules.pub.generator.RuleNotFoundException: Failed to find a 'RULE-OBJ-WHEN' with the name 'PZISNOTINDECISIONMANAGERPORTAL' that applies to 'Rule-Category'. There were 1 rules with this name in the rulebase, but none matched this request. The 1 rules named 'PZISNOTINDECISIONMANAGERPORTAL' defined in the rulebase are: 1 related to applies-to class 'Rule-Category', but were defined in rulesets which are not in your ruleset list: 'Pega-DecisionEngine:07-10-13'.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a new shortcut rule.
  2. Click the Category drop down.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ rule.

The PZISNOTINDECISIONMANAGERPORTAL When rule was referred in two Pega DecisionEngine Category rules - pzBatchRunsCategory and pzPropositionsCategory. However, the Pega DecisionEngine ruleset was not included as part of the custom application.

When a shortcut rule was created, the list of the available categories were either empty or incorrect. An exception was generated when there were categories, in the system, with Visibility When rules configured on them and which did not exist in the current application.

Resolution

Apply HFix-36952.
