Resolution
Here’s the explanation for the reported behavior:
The browser blocks the cookies of third party domains by default. Pega Web Mashup loads in an iFrame on a host page, making it a third party. Hence, the Mashup does not load in the browser as the cookies are required by the Pega content. Therefore, the Mashup requires the cookies to authenticate the user session.
