Summary



MQ Server connectivity fails with error.

Error Messages



The type com.ibm.mq.MQException cannot be resolved.

Steps to Reproduce



From PRPC MQ Server instance, click the "Test Connectivity" button

Root Cause



The root cause of this problem is misconfiguration in PRPC


Resolution



1. Below is the list of IBM MQ v7.x client libraries that need to be added to PRPC’s compile time CLASSPATH.
For versions other than IBM MQ v7.x, the corresponding set of client libraries need to be identified and added.

 

• com.ibm.mq.commonservices.jar

• com.ibm.mq.headers.jar

• com.ibm.mq.jar

• com.ibm.mq.jmqi.jar

• com.ibm.mqjms.jar 

• connector.jar

• dhbcore.jar

• fscontext.jar

• jms.jar
 

2. Verify that the following Dynamic System Setting is set in PRPC:




3. Restart the server
