Turn Videos into Instant App Designs with Pega GenAI Blueprint

July 7, 2025 | 13:24

The video, presented by Brad Tanner, introduces a new feature in Pega GenAI Blueprint: the ability to upload legacy videos—such as training demos or walkthroughs—to automatically generate case types, data objects, and personas. By analyzing both the transcript and key frames of these videos, Blueprint identifies workflows and creates an initial application structure.

Key demonstrations

  • Legacy System Example: A COBOL financial system demo video is uploaded, resulting in automatically generated case types (e.g., credit card management), data integrations, and personas, providing a foundation for discussions with customers.
  • Multiple Inputs Example: Combining a video with an AI-generated report on application code enhances Blueprint’s analysis, leading to additional workflows and richer case types.
  • Manual Process Example: A fictional scenario with Tanner’s Retro Gaming Emporium demonstrates using videos of manual processes (emails, spreadsheets, web lookups) to generate case types for tasks like purchase, sale, repair, and valuation. Blueprint extracted workflows, integrations, and personas from these videos, even without an existing system.

Brad emphasizes that these capabilities allow capturing both automated and entirely manual processes to quickly produce a baseline application design. This serves as a starting point for collaborative blueprinting sessions with customers to define optimal future-state processes in Pega.
