Overview
At Accenture, we understand that every UI migration journey is time and resource consuming, often pulling focus away from feature development. One of the biggest bottlenecks in cloud migration is the remediation of legacy integration rules - especially REST connectors built prior to Pega 8.3. These connectors require manual reconfiguration of endpoint URLs, and for applications with a large number of connectors, this becomes a tedious and error prone process. The Connect REST Upgrade (CRU) Tool eliminates this overhead by automating the identification and upgrade of impacted REST connectors. It applies the required configuration updates in bulk, reducing manual effort, accelerating migration timelines, and ensuring consistency across integrations.

- 1. Automated Configuration Upgrades - Automatically executes “Upgrade to new endpoint configuration” and “Upgrade to new settings configuration” for each REST connector as applicable, while intelligently skipping rules already in the updated state.
- 2. Backend Creation of Application Settings - Creates the required Application Settings rules in the backend and stores environment specific URLs within those settings, ensuring clean separation of configuration from rule logic.
- 3. Version Controlled Rule Updates - Saves all upgraded Connect REST rules into the specified version of the same ruleset, maintaining auditability, and traceability.
