Temporary directories not getting created on server restart

Summary



PEGA does not create the Temporary directories in entirety, specially the service export directory in static content folder on production server reboot.
 

Error Messages



Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Bring down the server and database
  2. Delete the Temp folder and mark up files
  3. Restart the database services
  4. Bring the server back up.


Root Cause



A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment, user was deleting Pega extract marker txt file while restarting the server, due to which StaticContent folder was deleted and recreated which is an expected behaviour.

Resolution



An enhancement request, FDBK-16816, has been created for consideration by Pega Product Management.
