DX API JSON response not displaying section with embedded iFrame

KCP-776

Summary

When embedding an external URL in an iFrame on the Pega application, the Digital Experience (DX) API JSON response does not display the section with the embedded iFrame. Additionally, while using DX API, the section metadata is not passed to the Angular front end.

ERROR MESSAGES

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Log in to the Pega application.
  2. Create a custom section with an iFrame.
  3. Embed the section in the main section.

ROOT CAUSE

An issue in the custom application code or rules.

Resolution

Here's the explanation for the reported behavior:
When using DX APIs, all sections must be autogenerated. Non-autogenerated sections do not obtain the metadata through the API. Hence, the custom code with the iFrame does not display.
