Application wizard error with Sales Automation application

Summary



Application Level is installed on the out-of-the-box Pega Sales Automation for Insurance (SAI) application. When building the Implementation layer application on the Application Level, the wizard displays an error.


Error Messages



The reference .pyApplicationGenerator.pyAccessgroupsToCreate(-1) is not valid. Reason: unexpected character '-' at position 47, expected subscript




Steps to Reproduce

  1. Build a new application on Pega SAI (select B2B and B2C as the Selling mode).
  2. Build a new Implementation on the application.
  3. Base it on the application created in Step 1.
  4. Select B2B and B2C for the Selling mode.
  5. Provide it an application name.
  6. Click Create application.


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.


Resolution



Apply the following hotfixes.
  1. HFix-44651
  2. HFix-45770 
  3. HFix-46235
Before generating the Implementation layer, the operator must point to the newly created Organizational unit in the Application layer (navigate to Operator > Work tab. Change the Organizational unit).

Additionally, associate the SAISample_SysAdmin operator with the CRMSAI:SysAdmin access group.
