Caught unhandled exception: javax.net.ssl.SSLUnverifiedException

Summary



Connect HTTP rule is used to connect to an HTTP service.
After update to Pega 7.3.1, SSLUnverifiedException occurs in the Tracer when invoking the HTTP service.



Error Messages



Tracer Exception: Caught unhandled exception: javax.net.ssl.SSLUnverifiedException: peer not authenticated".


Steps to Reproduce

  1. Update from Pega 7.2.1 to Pega 7.3.1.
  2. Invoke HTTP service with Rule-Connect-HTTP.


Root Cause



Issue with the SSL certificate from the WebSphere application server.


Resolution



As a local-change, upgrade from Connect-HTTP to Connect-REST.
