History not displaying for the Instance Created by Job Scheduler

SA-76155

Summary

In the History tab, pyPerformer does not display for instances created by the Job Scheduler.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

Create a case instance through the Job Scheduler  using an activity.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.

Resolution

Perform the following local-change:

Set pyUserIdentifier value to SYSTEM in the Requestor page.

Follow the below steps to set the pyUserIdentifier.
  • If the activity is only used by the Job Scheduler, then add a step at the beginning of the activity to set pyUserIdentifier and pxUserIdentifier to SYSTEM on the Requestor page.

  • 1. If the activity is used elsewhere other than the Job Scheduler, create a wrapper activity and set pyUserIdentifier and pxUserIdentifier to SYSTEM on the Requestor page.
  • 2. Call the InitiateEngStatusUpdate and use the wrapper activity in the Job Scheduler.

This is scheduled to be resolved in the patch release of Pega 8.1.
