Localization Wizard: Labels starting with '#' not localized

Summary



Labels starting with '#' are not localized by translation wizard: Entries are generated as expected within the exported translation main file by the wizard. However, the wizard does not generate any field value after importing the pkg with the translations.

Steps to Reproduce



1. Add a field in a section layout
2. In the field config, set the label with a value starting with ‘#’
3. Run the translation wizard on the ruleset and export the pkg
4. Check the master file : you’ll find the entry for your label value as expected
5. Fill in the translation and import the translated pkg. If you have only complete the translation for our target field, wizard results will display : Imported = 0
6. Switch the locale and create a case to test : your field is not displayed localized
7. Go back to designer studio and search for any rule Field Value with your label name: No one has been generated


Root Cause



The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code/rules. 


Resolution



This issue is scheduled to be resolved in Maintenance Level (ML) release 7.1.8

Field values for missing labels can be created manually.
