SA-26338

Summary

Users are facing alignment issues with Radio button, Dropdown and check box rendering in iPad (Mobile Device) in Pega v7.2.
As part of initial analysis, the Developer noticed these controls are working fine when they point to "UI-Kit-7:03-01" ruleset version and for remaining all the versions of UI-Kit-7, and seeing this issue like for UI-Kit-7:04-01, UI-Kit-7:05-01 and UI-Kit-7:06-01.

Steps to Reproduce

Issue related to Radio button, Dropdown and check box rendering in iPad (Mobile Device) in Pega v7.2. suspect that issue caused due to UI-Kit-7:06-01 version.

Root Cause

Because of differences in styles, of py-mobile-controls css rule in different versions ( UI-Kit-7:03 comparted to UI-Kit-7:06/ UI-Kit-7:05/ UI-Kit-7:04 ) we are seeing the behavior reported in the SR.

As highlighted in below scree shot , each version of UI-Kit-7 is compatible with a particular version of PRPC/Pega 7.X. This applies for new applications built on those versions and using the default pyEndUser71 skin. Compatibility can’t be assumed after updating (or migrating rulesets/rules) from one version of Pega to other and then using UI-Kit-7 version of the updated Pega version ( especially custom skin).

Resolution

All the rules in UI-Kit-7 are ‘Available’ rules, providing feasibility to create copies of these rules with desired results. Making a copy of rule py-mobile-controls by doing save as of one in UI-Kit-7:03-01-01 had fixed the behavior and the screen rendered without any issues.
