OOTB 'pxSessionTimer' not working as expected

SA-637

Summary

The Out of box pxSessionTimer section does not bring up the modal dialog and does not log the user off the system.

Error Messages

User does not get logged off after reaching the session idle time.

Steps to Reproduce

Configure the session timer to log off after certain amount of time (e.g. 2 min). Allow idle time of 2 min, session does not log off.

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is a defect in customer application code/rules. Developer has NOT defined "
Authentication Timeout(secs)" in the Access Group record.

Resolution

Time defined for pxSessionTimer should match "
Authentication Timeout(secs)" defined in Access Group record. In this case, pxSessionTimer is set for 2 min, so, you should define "Authentication Timeout(secs)" in Access Group record as 120 seconds.
