PDF opened using iphone/ipad shows only first page

SA-35488

Summary

PDF opened using the solution, that is, to show the PDF in an html by using iframe passing the PDF source, which is used to hide client domain name, shows only first page in the ipad/iphone.

However, it works in other desktop browsers like Chrome / Internet Explorer showing the entire PDF pages.

User is looking for a solution to display the full PDF in iPhone and iPad devices.

1. Open the link in iPhone or iPad browser
2. Login with the credential
3. Click on the link to show the PDF in a browser.

Actual Behaviour: First link opens PDF and shows only first page of PDF in ipad. And, user cannot scroll down to other pages of the same PDF.
Expected Behaviour: First link opens PDF and it should show all the pages in ipad.

Root Cause

Known issue with Apple iOS and Safari browsers.

Resolution

Nothing can be done from Pega's side to fix this.

Only option here is to create some kind of local-change for iOS.

Detect platform and if it is iOS, then do not use embedded PDF (or provide each PDF page separately).
