Let’s start off by learning a bit more about your life prior to Pega. Where are you from originally and what is your educational background?
I grew up in Kyiv, Ukraine and graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in the Computer Sciences department. I have worked extensively in IT as a developer and I have always been interested in the process of linking a specific task to a solution.

What motivated you to learn how to use Pega?
In many ways it was a fortunate coincidence since I was working for a customer that was looking to implement the Pega Platform. Once I experienced the capabilities of Pega on my own, learning the platform and receiving Pega certification was no longer a “why not?” for me. It was something that I absolutely had to pursue and I’m very happy with where my career has taken me so far.

How has Pega impacted your career and what message or advice would you give to anyone who is considering a career as a Pega Developer?
Pega is very logical and rational for developers to understand so I have been able to expand my potential career opportunities in a relatively short period of time. Don't be afraid to pursue a Pega career if you are not an experienced developer. Since Pega is a low-code platform, you don’t need years of coding experience in order to build a nice career for yourself as a Pega developer.
