Developer Success Stories

See how working with Pega has taken these developer champions' careers to the next level. We asked the following developers how Pega has shaped or impacted their careers.

Nancy Blanco

Technology Consulting Manager

Growing up in Puerto Rico, becoming a Pega developer was very different from what I envisioned as my career path. I always thought I would be a Mechanical Engineer but after awhile I knew I wanted to do something else that would allow me to solve problems and use critical thinking skills.

After joining Accenture Federal Services in 2014, I received an email about potentially joining a group to get trained to develop software using Pega. I had no idea what Pega was at the time, but challenges are always appealing to me as an engineer. Software development had caught my attention after some ad-hoc computer science classes I took in college, so I decided to go for it. This turned out to be a great decision since my career has all been based around my Pega development expertise.

Currently I’m a Technology Consulting Manager at Accenture working on multiple federal justice projects acting as a Pega development lead. Pega gave me that opportunity and now I design/build government applications that are crucial for the safety of our society.

Senthil Mahalingam

Senior Software Engineer/IT Architect Lead

I started my career as a Java developer back in 2000 and became a technical lead in 2006 working in design, development and deployment of large enterprise applications for Fortune 500 clients. A few of my colleagues introduced me to Pega back in 2006. I was very excited to learn about Pega BPM and BRE and all of its capabilities all in one platform. I felt like a kid in a candy store and this motivated me to explore all the aspects of Pega and its different frameworks.

Pega has had a huge impact on my career. Fast forward 12 years later and I’m now working at Express Scripts as an IT Architect Lead with Pega CSSA certification. Since Pega releases new versions every 3 to 6 months to keep up with market demand, I’m always challenged and motivated to stay up-to-date with the platform.

Ronny Martinez

Delivery Architect/Manager

Pega changed my life in every way. Instantly it provided me with a profile that was appealing to many high-profile companies. While starting to work in the platform and after earning my first certifications, I started getting calls from so many companies from around the world. I remember riding on a packed bus in El Salvador going home and receiving and answering emails from Sydney, London, Amsterdam.

After 3.5 years of working in Pega, I gained the Pega CLSA certification. That has been the greatest feeling I have had professionally. Up to date, I have passed 13 Pega certifications and look forward to keep learning more. By becoming a CLSA, even more doors opened and opportunities to deliver great value and accomplish great things came to me.
