Document Content Engine

A common requirement for Pega applications is the production of rich, dynamic content that is rendered in multiple forms, such as PDF, Email, SMS or an Application UI. Organizations require that this content is rich in nature and conformant to their own often stringent content standards (colors, images, font size, etc).

It is often necessary to vary the content by channel or the circumstances of the work in context. For example, we may have a requirement to display a set of instructions for an insurance customer to submit a motor insurance claim on a customer facing portal. The instructions may have an additional step if the customer doesn’t hold a full driver’s license. We may also have a requirement to send the instructions by post. This time we may want to include the company logo and address in the letter head and replace a hyperlink with the full URL.

Organizations want their own content management teams to be in control of their content with limited dependence on their IT development teams.
