Unable to create ruleset and also ruleset versions in Chrome

SA-16339

Summary

Developer is unable to create a ruleset or ruleset version when using Chrome browser in Pega 7.1.6.

Error Messages

"pyComponentInterfaceClass: username@organization doesn't exist or is not a valid entry for this ruleset and its prerequisites"

Steps to Reproduce

In designer studio:

1. Create a new ruleset instance in Chrome
2. Save the ruleset instance and receive an error.

Root Cause

Chrome's autofill is inputting "username@organization" into an internally-used field when saving a ruleset version which is an invalid input.

Resolution

Disable autofill in the Chrome settings menu, or use Chrome in incognito mode.

The rule form is changed in Pega 7.1.9 such that Chrome's auto-fill feature will not recognize it.
