Summary



An exception was observed on launching the landing page of data flows. The dataset rule could not be checked, and another error occurred in doing so.

Steps to Reproduce



To replicate Error 1:
  • Navigate from NBA Studio > Decisioning > Decisions > Data Flows > Data Flows.

To replicate Error 2:

  1. Create a dataset rule on data class.
  2. Click checkout.
  3. Click Save without modifying, and try to Check-in. Check-in option does not close.

Root Cause



For Error 1:
  • Data flows require DNode services to be up and running. It is turned off by default in Pega 7.1.8.
  1. Navigate to Records > SysAdmin > Dynamic System Settings.
  2. Search for DNode.
  3. Edit the DSS prconfig/initservices/dnode/default, and set the value to true.
  4. Restart all the nodes.

For Error 2:

  • An error on dataset validation prevents database-datasets check in.
