Java script error on UI Screen when submitting modal dialog

SA-41171

Summary

User have a repeat grid with the row visibility condition set.

They have configured a button in one column and when selecting the file and clicking on save, the error is thrown.

Error Messages

"There was an error while loading the content given : IE Error description : Undefined " and a script error in browser console:"Cannot read property 'rows' of null

Steps to Reproduce

1. Include the section that uses repeating grid and has a row visibility condition.
2. In the grid, there is a button in a column on click of which tries to Edit the grid.
3. After grid editing is done, user tries to click on Save button configured with pzActionButton and onclick -"pega.u.d.activeGrid.submitModal(event)".

Root Cause

In the section, in grid properties > Operations tab > Row editing needs to be Master-Detail which is configured to launch the MultiDragDrop section in a modal dialog.

But, "None" got selected.

Save button has onclick configured with "pega.u.d.activeGrid.submitModal(event)" which says to submit the modal dialog grid content.

Initially, multidrag drop section is not loaded inside a modal dialog and if user clicks on Save button which submits the modal dialog content, the script error is intended.

Resolution

Perform the following local-change:

Change Row Editing to Master-Detail and display as Modal dialog.
