SA-46179

Summary

User has set up a new install of Pega 7.3 and was trying to create an application but application is not created.

Error Messages

When user tries to create an app:

-:code:<none>SQLState:<none>Message:<none>

If user retry with the same application name then gets the following error message even though the application was never created in the first place:

** New Application creation will fail becasue:Ruleset conflicts with a ruleset <application name> that will be generated

Steps to Reproduce

Create a new application by choosing PegaRules as the type and system comes back with the error messages.

Root Cause

In context.xml environment tag specified in the below screenshot is required for dual user configuration only but user has configured single user for his database. So there was a conflict between the environment tag.

Resolution

Unwanted environment tag was removed from the context.xml file and user is able to create a new application.

Following are the steps performed after the local change to delete the unwanted rulesets created:

1. Go to Designer studio > System > Refactor > Rulesets.
2. Click on Delete a ruleset and specify the ruleset name in the new window and click Delete.
3. Check the results by refreshing the rulesets under Records > sysadmin.

Thus user will be able to create an application with same name as before.
