Error occurs while tracing the Service REST rule

SA-55065

Summary

Error occurs while tracing the Service REST rule.

Error Messages

Tracer session error: This rule RULE-SERVICE-REST CASEMGMT DRIVE!CASES #20180117T163810.382 GMT is being traced by operator varughec from requestor H509B8EE2E02F1ADC9A1542F71F3C2DE9 - Please restart tracer.

Steps to Reproduce

Open a tracer session of any rule from the Actions menu of the rule form. Error occurs and another user or requestor is unable to trace this rule.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.

Resolution

  1. Apply HFix-42286
  2. Shut down all the nodes and restart them

This HFix cleans the rule watch traces that a requestor holds when the requestor is passivated. Hence, whenever the requestor (who was tracing the rule) passivates, the rule watch is cleared for this requestor and other requestors are able to trace that rule.
Alternatively, user can also clear all rule watches for all the requestors from SMA > Remote Tracing > Clear Rule Watches.
