pxExtractIdentifier and pxExtractDateTime fields missing in XML

Summary



pxExtractIdentifier and pxExtractDateTime fields are missing in the XML or XSD generated from a Business Intelligence Exchange (BIX) extract rule. However, these fields are generated when the output is set to CSV.

This behavior is as per Pega product design.


Resolution



Here’s the explanation for the reported behavior:

The unique run identifier only applies to CSV and database output types. As the pxExtractIdentifier and pxExtractDateTime fields are for the unique run identifier functionality, they are not used with XML files.
