Special characters do not encode correctly in Rich Text Editor (RTE).




Error Messages

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Enter some special characters in the RTE
  2. Run a report definition that includes the property associated with the RTE
  3. Run the flow
     

Root Cause



RTE is implemented internally using a third party product called CKEditor. CKEditor stores the value in ASCII format which results in the issue.

Resolution

Perform the following local-change:

Use TextArea control or TextInput control instead of using RTE.
