com.pega.pegarules.pub.PRRuntimeException: FTP Connection failed
...
Caused by: com.pega.pegarules.integration.engine.external.client.ftp.PegaFTPClient$FTPBadReplyException: Permission denied
Steps to Reproduce
Unknown
Root Cause
An issue in the custom application code or rules.
According to the FTP server administrator, the directory to be written to was incorrect. Hence, permission denied errors were generated in the logs. This was controlled by the ftpRelativeRemotePath Dynamic System Setting (DSS) which was owned by the Pega-RULES RuleSet. This path was relative to the FTP user home directory.
Resolution
Perform the following local-change:
Adjust the ftpRelativeRemotePath value.
For example,
When the users home directory is '/Usr/Home', the directory to write to is '/Usr/Home/Dir1/Dir2'. Configure the ftpRelativeRemotePath to 'Dir1/Dir2'.
