Root Cause
This issue was determined to be a product enhancement request.
There is a feature to refresh the dashboard in Autonomic Event Services (AES) 7.3.
This will allow the current work items displayed to be updated and reflect assignments that took place during the day.
In AES 7.2 the update is done daily by the AES Agent only.
Resolution
Here are some screen shots illustrating the new refresh feature in AES 7.3:
Initial display on dashboard
Display showing refresh widget in top right corner. Hitting this will refresh the Top Browser Items list (and others on the dashboard).
New Display reflects the assignment.
