Summary
Authentication error during test connectivity for emails. The username and password are correct as they can be used to log into the email server directly.
Error Messages
javax.mail.AuthenticationFailedException: 535 5.7.0 (#MBR1212) Incorrect username or password.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create an Email Account rule
- Configuring the rule
- Run test connectivity
Root Cause
A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules. The value in the 'User ID' field on the rule form was used incorrectly.
Resolution
Perform the following local-change:
Change the 'User ID' value to match the 'From' value.
