Authentication timeout warning and auto log-off not working

Summary



Your application is designed to log off users after an idle period of time. The authentication timeout setting in the Access Group does not work. After a timeout period, users see the pop-up window for entering their credentials (username and password), but it does not work.

Steps to Reproduce



Configure authentication timeout in the Access Group form, the Advanced tab.


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code with the Session Timer and the Log-off Timer that was corrected in Pega 7.1.8.

Resolution



Upgrade to Pega 7.1.8.

 As an alternative to upgrading to Pega 7.1.8, perform the local-change that is provided in SA-10027, pxSessionTimer logoff timer does not display as expected.
