Automated Scenario Testing tool does not set Text field values

Summary



When creating a test scenario in the Automated Testing tool, values entered in to the Text fields are not saved.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Log in as a user with scenario testing permissions.
  2. Launch the portal.
  3. Click the Gear icon.
  4. Click the Scenario test icon.
  5. Click Create Test Case.
  6. Click Portal.
  7. Enter values in to a Text field on the screen. The values are saved in the right-hand panel.
  8. Stop the test.
  9. Add a Name and Description.
  10. Select the Class.
  11. Click Save.
  12. Launch the Scenario Testing tool in Pega Designer Studio.
  13. Click the name of the test created (blue hyperlink).
    In the 'Test Case Steps' section, click on Text field step (the value displays). 
    In the 'Result' Section, No value is saved in the 'Value' column.


Root Cause



Missing document-statetracker element in the Document Object Model (DOM).


Resolution



Perform the following local-change:

Set the 'Pega-RULES pzPegaSUT Dynamic System Settings (DSS) to true.
