BIX Issue-Extract broken after check-in

Summary



After Pega 7.1.8 upgrade, BIX rules (Pega-BIX:07-10-17) was broken after check-in.
Some of the DB tables were overwritten with default values.

Steps to Reproduce



1. First create extract rule in Pega with older version of BIX.
2. Upgrade the BIX version to Pega7.1.8.
3. Save as extract rule and make changes to any extract and check-in the extract rule.


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ rules: Pega-BIX:07-10-17.


Resolution



Pega-BIX:07-10-17 ruleset was upgraded to Pega-BIX:07-10-18 (no major risk involved in upgrading ruleset).

Apply HFix-23185 to Pega-BIX:07-10-18.

Installation instructions are as follows:

  • Open the validateTreeProperties function in the Pega-BIX:07-10-18 ruleset and generate the library.
  • Check your application rule to ensure it has access to the new ruleset version Pega-BIX:07-10-18.
  • Test again, if you any of these steps above were not completed.
