Bix process are not invoking

SA-98812

Summary

While running multiple Business Intelligence Exchange (BIX) Extracts parallelly using Shell scripts which are scheduled to run simultaneously, one of the BIX Extract rules is not invoked sporadically. The user must run the BIX Extract manually by executing the Shell script later.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

Provide multiple BIX Extract rules as parameters in different Shell scripts.

Root Cause

The issue does not occur when all the Extract rules are present in the same Shell script where the rules are invoked individually according to the Extract rules list present in the Shell script.
The issue occurred when the Extract rules are split into two different Shell scripts which are scheduled to run at the same time.
The first Shell script containing multiple Extract rules invoked the BIX Extract individually and consumed less time. The BIX Extract rule provided as a standalone in the latter consumed about 90 minutes time when invoked. This Extract rule is not invoked sporadically due to a large set of records where the database connection is exhausted in invoking the remaining Extract rules.

Resolution

Perform the following local-change:

Set a half hour difference between the scheduled timing of both the Shell scripts such that the Extract rules which consume a lesser amount of time are scheduled first.
