Blank rows added in decision table after import

SA-53693

Summary

Some rows are removed in Excel and are reimported to update the decision table. After the import, the number of rows that are removed are added back as blank rows.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Export a decision table to Excel.
  2. Delete rows in the Excel document.
  3. Import the updated Excel. Load the table in the ruleform to check the rows.

Root Cause

The Allowed to return values option was not checked for the decision tables. For decision tables, the number of rows is determined by the count of pyResults (that is, the return values). However, during the import, this option was not checked. Hence, the previous captured values were used to calculate the row count.

Resolution

As a local-change, check the Allowed to return values option in the Results tab.
