Blank screen displays on clicking the Cancel Claim link.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Log in as a Customer Service Representative (CSR)
  2. Configure a Snapstart URL to open a work object
  3. Open the URL in Chrome
  4. Click the Cancel Claim link at the top


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules. In the Chrome and Firefox browsers, on opening the page directly by entering the URL, the window.close does not close the window due to security reasons.


Resolution

Perform the following local-change:
  1. Use window.open to open the URL
  2. Add a HTML file where a button is configured to open the link in a new tab
