Bullets show as small "10s" in generated PDF

SA-20929

Summary

Bullets show as small "10s" in generated PDF which has been sourced by a Paragraph rule

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

Generate a PDF with a bulleted list

Root Cause

Where you see these "10s", they are bullets (the HTML entity •)

The markup also specifically references Microsoft word styling, most notably, the Wingdings font.

Example:
"style="font-family: Wingdings; mso-bidi-font-family: Wingdings; mso-fareast-font-family: Wingdings;"

So the reason why you see "10s" instead of traditional bullets is dictated by the markup, and Pega/PD4ML honoring this markup.

Paste this bullet into Word and highlight the bullet this is what it looks like in Arial

And this is the translation when using Wingdings

Resolution

Remove the Wingdings font reference, or use the built-in rich text editor bulleted list feature.
