Cannot display list of rule or class instances

Summary



You are running Pega 7.1.6 on Tomcat 7 and DB2 10.1 using JDBC 4.x drivers.  When you try to display a list of instances of a rule or class, it fails with the below error on screen.

"Column named pxInsHandle was not found in SQL columns or embedded object."


Error Messages



"Column named pxInsHandle was not found in SQL columns or embedded object."

Steps to Reproduce




1. Login to Developer portal
2. In Left Navigation Pane, navigate to the link to display any record type instance list


Root Cause



The root cause of this problem is misconfiguration in the operating environment.  DB2 environments using JDBC 4.x drivers require custom setup.

Resolution



This issue is resolved through the following local change: For a database with DB2 Version 4, you must set the custom connection property useJDBC4ColumnNameAndLabelSemantics to "false".
