Case action buttons not working in IE8

SA-7524

Summary

After creating a new case in IE8, the Submit/Cancel buttons in the flow-action section are not working. IE8 displays a javascript error.
This problem affects all flow-actions, not just the one immediately after case creation.

Steps to Reproduce

The application is built on Pega 7.1.7, under Case Manager Portal. In the Perform harness, pyCaseBody section was customized by adding pyCaseAction area to process the flow action.

In Chrome, the Submit/Cancel buttons work, but in IE8, clicking the button triggers a javascript error and nothing happens.
