Summary

CPM uses an activity called CAVerticalMoveTaskToInProgress whenever a service process is launched using an AJAX call. This activity manipulates the interaction page on the clipboard. It is not expected to return any value. However, Pega automatically returns the status section when the activity finishes. This has an impact on browser performance and network usage.

Root Cause

Pega returns the default status section when the activity finishes, even though the return content is unused.

Resolution

Apply HFix-26298 to modify the behavior, so that the status section is not returned by the activity. Use a 1-byte status code to improve performance.
