Commit in the Pre-processing activity makes the WO freeze

Summary



When using a Commit at the end of a pre-processing activity, the work object (WO) freezes and the user is unable to perform any action. The lock on the work object is released.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Add a Commit step in a pre-processing activity of a flow action.
  2. Navigate to that assignment.


ROOT CAUSE 

A Commit in a pre-processing activity of a flow action disrupts the Pega out-of-the-box database transaction.


Resolution



Perform the following local-change:

Remove the Commit from the pre-processing activity.
