Confusing behaviour during Kafka dataflow restart

Summary



When a failed event dataflow based on Kafka is continued, it is observed the dataflow failed again and the count of records is increasing.

User has to click continue a second time to get the dataflow resumes.

Then it works but to count is inaccurate.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Run an event dataflow based on a kafka datasource.
  2. Send incorrect Kafka message so dataflow fail.
  3. Resume dataflow.

Resolution



Apply HFix-41008.
