Create Product File: Unable to create a new archive!



The system administrator cannot create a product archive. When the administrator clicks Create Product File, the system tries to retrieve the data to create a ZIP file and fails, displaying the error message.

Error Messages

2014-06-19 10:31:42,995 [j2ee14_ws,maxpri=10]] [ STANDARD] [ ] [ TestApp:02.63.01] (File.Rule_Admin_Product.Action) ERROR aredd12 - ExportZipFile: Encountered the following error: Unable to create a new archive!

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a product rule in Pega 7.1, including all the rulesets.
  2. Click Create Product File and click OK.
  3. See the pop-up window that appears indicating "Exporting data" and showing 0% progress. After two (2) seconds, the screen displays the error.

Root Cause

A software use or operation error
When creating the product file, the administrator failed to specify the name of the export file.


Make the following change to the operating environment:
When creating the product file, specify the name of the export file.
Alternatively, restart the server and make the space available in your Pega environment.
